Week 19: 5/6/12-5/12/12

Sunday, May 6th: Last day of Daddy being on vacation :*(  Today, we held Hudson upside down and tickled him until we were all crying from laughing so hard. This baby LOVES to be upside down. Newest thing: sticking out his tongue all the time. I think he's starting to feel his teeth under his gums because he's rubbing it back and forth, but he looks like a mini Gene Simmons with his tongue always poked out.

Monday, May 7th: Woohoo, I can get my toes in my mouth without any help now!

Tuesday, May 8th: Shopping with Mimi - she's astounded at how chattery Hudson has gotten since she saw him last. Enjoying cuddles before she (grudgingly) heads back to Raleigh.
Wednesday, May 9th: Yep, he's definitely my baby... Hudson has to put his toes on EVERYTHING! I kept scooting my computer further away from him at breakfast and he kept scootching down in his chair so he could rest his toes on top of my screen, lol. Today was the first time we went to Story Time for Lap Babies (Hudson was the youngest one there) and Meagan and Ethan went with! The boys were standing in front of each other before it started and they leaned in towards each other and were giving "hugs". Then, when we sat them up next to each other, they were holding hands. Best Friends!!

Thursday, May 10th: LONG drive to Asheville to see Ashley today. Okay, the drive there was fantastic. Hudson slept most of the way. The drive home, on the other hand, took about 75% longer than it should've because he was screaming bloody murder, wouldn't fall asleep, and we kept having to stop. Lesson: Don't drive more than 1.5-2 hours with the baby without someone riding in the backseat to keep him entertained.
Friday, May 11th: Pretty uneventful day today. The highlight was actually how well Hudson slept last night (I guess crying for 4+ hours on the way home last night tuckered him out): went down at 930, got up at 220 and 4 to nurse, then up for the morning at 645!
Saturday, May 12th: Today is my sister Megan's friend Gillian's dog Cody's (whew, are you following this?) Welcome Home Party. The housekeeper accidentally let Cody out last week and the cookout is a party to thank everyone who helped look for him, worried about him, and or supported the family while he was missing. It was a FANTASTIC evening. I taught Megan's friends to tumble in the back yard, Hudson sat up in the grass by himself for nearly 2 minutes (with a frog about to jump up his shorts) and the girls got to play with teeny tiny puppies!
