Not too much new this month...
Hudson has gotten steadier while standing and will hold himself upright for about 30-45 seconds if he doesn't realize it, though he still plops on his butt when he notices. He's gotten super fast at the army crawl and has started pushing up on his knees and/or feet, but still no actually movement that way.
The other day, I had him laying on his back under the fan and he said "fa - fa" but has stopped saying most of the other "words" he had previously.
He'll still eat just about anything, though he has lost interest in baby food from a jar (he likes to suck out the pouchies) and any little people silverware. His interest in nursing has dramatically decreased in the last few weeks - especially the last week - so I hope that he's not trying to self-wean just yet. Maybe it's tasting different now, or he just has too much to see/explore to be confined in one place for more than 2 minutes, but his daytime nursing is almost non-existent. At night, he'll still get up 5-10 times to suckle, which the pediatrician is furious about, but (sleep-deprived that I am) don't usually mind it. He goes back to sleep easily and I'm worried that if I don't let him nurse then, he'll completely wean himself and/or not get the nutrients he needs.
That being said, he's not sleeping very well right now. He'd gotten on a decent schedule before the teeth/fevers/rash/sickness/more teeth debacle, and we're having a hard time convincing him he doesn't need to be touching us all the time.
Tooth #3 made an appearance, but the gums swelled over it and it hasn't come back yet, though it's ALMOST through. Tooth #4 is starting to peek, but hasn't broken the skin yet, and #5 & #6 are beginning to get red and swollen. Whew!
Hudson is pulling up on everything, everyone, all the time... people, his crib, the furniture, toys, recycling bins, etc. He's taken a few tumbles and gotten a few bumps, but nothing that mommy kisses couldn't fix, and nothing that left a lasting mark.
He's in almost entirely 12 and 18 month clothes (he has a few 9 month sleepers that are busting at the seams, but we've had a really hard time finding them in 12 month sizes), he has one last pair of size 3 shoes, and we bought two pairs of size 4 and one size 5 recently - they're still a little big, but hopefully he won't grow out of them in a week like most of his 3s. Still in a size 3 diaper, and as long as he's eating "big people" food, they seem to be doing well. When he's mostly nursing and has watery-er diapers, they get a little leaky, but for the most part they're hanging in there.
I know it sounds like a lot, but this month's progress is creeping up on me rather than slamming me in the face like months past, which I'm grateful for. It's so strange to look at him and realize how big he's gotten and how grown he looks already! Such a sweet blessing <3
