Week 35: 8/26/12 - 9/1/12

Sunday, August 26th: This morning, we woke up (around 10am, Hudson had been down for his first nap) to what sounded like a zombie moaning.  Turns out that Hudson had unplugged his monitor, but we could hear him yelling - not crying, but shouting for us - so I went to get him... and found this!  Such a big boy, first time pulling up in his crib (he's been doing it everywhere else, so it was just a matter of time).

Monday, August 27th: Today was the first day of school for the girls.  Natalie is in 8th grade - enjoy being at the top of the totem pole for this year - and Alyssa is back on the bottom at her first day of high school!

Tuesday, August 28th: Hudson was mesmerized by my knee brace today and was trying to eat my kneecap through the hole.  Turns out that my chiropractor wants a second opinion, so he's referring me to an orthopedic specialist and recommending an MRI to see what the damage really is.  Since I'm a chicken, I'm going to bump up my chiropractic visits for a while and see if that helps stave off the MRI for a little while longer.

Wednesday, August 29th: Well yesterday was supposed to be a day trip to Raleigh, but then we realized that Pop was going to be travelling for work next week when we're supposed to be there, so he's going to miss some Hud time... so we spent the night to give them more time together.  Then, today, Hudson didn't nap very well, so went down for a "catnap" right before 7 and refused to wake back up -  so we ended up spending the night AGAIN.  Guess it was just a tough day all around, though, since Pop was crashed on the couch too.

Thursday, August 30th: We went to Hudson's 9 month checkup today, early, since I have to have an appointment for my knee next Tuesday, when his appointment was originally scheduled.  Doctor said he looks great at 19 pounds 4 ounces and 28 inches, but she wants us to cut out night feedings entirely and start weaning day feedings too - which I don't agree with at all, so I'm just going to keep doing what works best for Hudson.  Aside from not sleeping, he's right on track!  Then, we went to visit Ethan and Hudson was kissing his boo-boo (burned wrist).

Friday, August 31st: Hudson enjoyed his first ice cream cone today.  It was so hot that even with the A/C in the car on full blast and set on 60, we were completely soaked through!

Saturday, September 1st: Well we definitely have a picture for today, but it's not one that I want to post just yet, because we have a HUGE SUPRISE!!!
